A Digione nel cuore della Francia il C.E.R. faceva tappa per il suo terzo appuntamento stagionale dopo gli appuntamenti di Barcellona e di SPA. La coppia Fratti-Cabianca si presentava seconda in classifica dietro la Lotus Esprit con la voglia e la determinazione di recuperare punti e di prendersi la testa della classifica.
Il venerdì di prove libere permette ai due driver di riprendere confidenza con il tracciato visto che la loro precedente apparizione sul tracciato transalpino risaliva al 2016. I due chiudono quarti di classe e 16i assoluti con il quarto posto di categoria che viene ripetuto nelle qualifiche svoltesi il sabato pomeriggio.
Per quanto riguarda la gara le promesse per far bene ci sono ed i due piloti sono determinati e carichi ad ottenere un risultato di spicco in vista anche della classifica generale. Dopo la partenza prevista alle 14:00 della domenica pomeriggio Andrea Cabianca conduce un ottimo stint girando sul passo del 1’ e 30” consegnando la vettura in seconda posizione di classe; Fratti non riesce a tenere gli stessi tempi del compagno
per via dell’usura delle gomme che giro dopo giro si fa sempre più importante e purtroppo per via di un paio di uscite di pista prenderà due penalità per track limit. Il quarto posto finale si tramuta in un sesto ma nulla vieta ai due piloti di conquistare la prima piazza in classifica generale. Un risultato fantastico che premia la costanza e la bravura dei piloti oltre che la preparazione del team in grado di dare ai piloti una vettura
performante ed affidabile. Tra un mese il C.E.R. riaccenderà i motori in Ungheria sul circuito dell’Hungaroring, rimanete collegati ora che la situazione in campionato si fa davvero interessante !!!
THE 6TH PLACE FOR FRATTI-CABIANCA IN THE C.E.R. AT THE “GRAND PRIX DE L’AGE D’OR” AT DIGIONE GIVES TO THE CREW ON THE 934 MANAGED BY THE AUTORLANDO-SPORT THE 1st PLACE IN THE GENERAL STANDING.
In Dijon in the heart of France the C.E.R. he made a stop for his third seasonal appointment after the Barcelona and SPA events. The Fratti-Cabianca couple was second in the standings behind the Lotus Esprit with the desire and determination to recover points and take the lead in the standings.
Free practice on Friday allows the two drivers to regain confidence with the track as their previous appearance on the transalpine track dates back to 2016. The car finishes 4th of class and 16th absolute with the fourth class category place which is repeated in qualifying held on Saturday afternoon.
As for the race the two drivers are determined and charged to get a prominent result also in view of the general classification. After the departure scheduled at 14:00 on Sunday afternoon Andrea Cabianca leads an excellent stint turning on the pitch of 1 'and 30 "delivering the car in second class position; Fratti is not able to keep the same times as his team mate due to tire wear that is becoming more and more important lap by lap and unfortunately due to a couple of off-track exits he will take two penalties for track limit.
The fourth final place turns into a sixth place but nothing prevents the two drivers from winning the first place in the overall standings. A fantastic result that rewards the constancy and skill of the drivers as well as the preparation of the team able to give the drivers a reliable and performing car.
Next month, 12-13-14 of July, the C.E.R. will rekindle the engines in Hungary on the Hungaroring circuit, stay connected now that the situation in the championship gets really intresting !!!
